ZAZA is a slang term in the Cannabis industry that means an exotic, premium, and highly potent flower or strain. The Hemp Doctor requested packaging for their permanent and rotating line of quality flower. Making it bold to reflect the tone of the actual term but also clean to not dilute the premium product.

Blending strong block text and cannabis leaf imagery, a simple but versatile logo, secondary logo, and logomark were created. The simplicity and negative space in the primary logo were then used in the packaging design to determine cannabinoid type. These differentiated colors help stand out in dispensaries apart from simple kraft labeling. Making it feel more exclusive.
Using the negative space from the logo, gradients were used to indicate each cannabinoid type: Sativa (a mix of red and orange) for uplifting properties. Indica (a mix of white and blue) for the soothing and couch lock effects. Lastly, Hybrid (a mix of the blue and red, making purple). Black was used as the foreground to make these colors pop and give a clean look.
