Branding & Logo

Nelida Coffee Bar is a personal project inspired by my parents' dreams. My dad often mentioned that he wanted to start his coffee company with my mom after retiring. Meanwhile, my mother envisioned a charming coffee shop where she could host friends and enjoy an espresso martini.

With Nelida, I decided to fulfill both of their dreams. The name "Nelida" means "one who is powerful in battle" and "bright one," and it also happens to be my mother's middle name.

Personality

Strong, Laidback & "Boujee"

LOGO DESIGN

My parents are health junkies and always look for ways to challenge themselves, so I used an image of a female warrior for the sub logo with elements of a coffee bean for the features. To add a light element, for the "bright one," I added light rays to the helmet and added a sun for the primary logo.

For the primary logo, I wanted to merge the laidback nature of my father and the strong family unit that he is, so I chose fonts accordingly. A display font that was both sharp, strong yet slightly feminine to add a characteristic for my mother, and a simple San Serif to chill it down.

Coffee Bar Concept

Nelida is an emerging coffee bar that showcases Latin American flair with a tropical touch. The establishment blends traditional coffee shop elements with high-end bar features, featuring clean and minimalistic packaging throughout.

The highlight of the shop is their signature coffee liqueur, made in-house, along with their Caliente latte, which adds a bit of spice to your day.
